Job Title:     Specialist, Media and Marketing

Reports to:  Executive Director                             Effective Date:  November 16, 2022

Organization Overview:

The Awareness, Courage, & Love Global Project (ACL Global Project) is a nonprofit organization founded with the mission to grow and nurture a worldwide network of open-hearted change seekers who strive to meet life’s challenges through deepening interpersonal connection and rising to live more true to themselves.

ACL Global Project brings the concepts of Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), co-created by Drs. Robert Kohlenberg and Mavis Tsai, to the general public.  As clinical psychologists and research scientists, they noticed that when they approached their clients with their own humanity and vulnerability, people were much more likely to make dramatic improvements.  Rather than trying to “fix” them, Drs. Tsai and Kohlenberg sought to help them by being genuine and vulnerable.

From those memorable therapeutic interactions, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) was created. FAP uses empirically-supported principles that focus on the healing power of present-moment authentic interactions.  It has been translated into the principles of Awareness, Courage and Love (ACL).

Wanting to share ACL with everyone, not just those who choose or can afford therapy, the ACL Global Project was born.  Under Dr. Tsai’s leadership, it is a rapidly expanding program that currently has chapter leaders bringing together over 10,000 people who want to connect deeply in 92 cities, 26 countries, and 6 continents. Together we tackle the global loneliness epidemic and believe that sharing our truest selves with one another strengthens us as individuals and communities.

Our organization is dedicated to the personal and professional development and well-being of every team member. While working with us, you will be encouraged to have open-hearted, vulnerable conversations with others as a means of experiencing and modeling the extraordinary interactions that can occur when someone chooses to live with Awareness, Courage and Love.
